Sydney Lewis, a 4th grade student and Student Council Rep helped raise over $320 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society for “Caps for a Cure”. Students and teachers could pay one dollar each day and wear a hat. This went on for just one week. Sydney also participated in the walk-a-thon in May.
Right after "Caps for Cure", we kicked off a “Pennies for Patients” fundraiser. It went April 3rd-30th. Kilmer kids and staff brought in loose change to help children fighting blood diseases. All of the money goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We started with a goal of $1000 for our school…we totally surpassed it and raised $1,791.00!!! Mrs. Colt’s 5th grade class raised the most, a little over $300.
